With the inclusion of Tetrahyexyldecycl ascorbate, the ester bond reacts with the amino acid of damaged hair and makes the hair more hydrophobic (repels water) – therefore more smooth and manageable. It may sound counter-intuitive, but too much water is not good for hair. As water enters the center of the strand the cortex swells and the structure is weakened. This Vitamin C also has a neutral Ph that is gentler on skin and a less irritating alternative to other vitamin C options supporting use on facial hair.
